Fruit Bat

While killing time in the hospital last week I dove into a true classic, Dracula. With my great love of fantasy and creatures of the night I can't believe I hadn't read it before. Truly worth the unabridged read.
Even though this little buddy only eats fruit he still would please any vampire fan.

For the tuft of hair cut four pieces of yarn between 4 and 6 inches. Fold in half and tie knot in the middle.  Sew or stuff hair into place.

 Felt:

Out of pink felt cut one small triangle for the nose and two small circles for the feet.
From brown or body color cut two little ears and a small set of wings.
Just wing it on the shapes, you can always cut another one if you don't like the first one.
I did a quick running stitch around the edges of the wings for an accent and to help stabilize it, this is completely optional.

Glue or sew all the felt parts to your little creature of the night.
I even added a little mouth out of embroidery floss.

Finished bat is under 3 inches tall.
