Filled Tea Sandwich


When searching Google images for cute tea sandwiches I stumbled upon these. They are just like the ones my mom and I made.



What you need:

 Scrap balls of bread and filling colors
Size F (3.75mm) hook
Scissors
Yarn Needle

Top Layer:
work in continuous rounds


  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 3: switch to bread color *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 4: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st
  • Round 5: *sc, sk 1, 6 dc in one st, sk 1, around, sl st to first sc
  • Finish off and weave in ends

Filling: 

With filling color work same pattern as top layer.
No color changes.

Bottom Layer:

With bread color work same pattern as top layer.
No color changes.

 Cut a length of bread colored yarn and stack all layers together. Top and bottom layers should both be right sides facing outwards. Sew through all layers around. Tie off and weave in ends.
