BJD Animal Ear Headband

Basically a mini version of my Tabby Cat Headband and Feeling Foxy.
 This pattern fits a Dal/Byul doll.
You can make the band on this longer to fit a Blythe.



Thing you need:
Worsted Weight acrylic yarn 
(I used Red Heart Super Saver)
Size 5 (8mm) needles
Yarn needle
Scissors



Headband:

  •  Cast on 3 sts leaving a tail about 8 inches long
  • Rows 1-48: k
  • Cast off leaving a tail about 8 inches long
  • Cut two peices of yarn about 16 inches long from skein
  • With yarn needle run one peice of yarn through each end and braid


Ears:
  • Fold headband in half and find were you want to place the ears
  • Pick up 5 stitches
  • Row 1: *k1 pu1 till you have 9 sts


  • Rows 2-3: k
  • Row 4: k1 k2tog k6
  • Row 5: k1  k2tog k5
  • Row 6: k1  k2tog k4
  • Row 7: k1  k2tog k3
  • Row 8: k1  k2tog k2
  • Row 9: k1  k2tog k1
  • Row 10: k1  k2tog
  • Row 11:  k2tog
  • Row 12: cut yarn and pull through stitch
  • Weave in ends
  • Repeat process to create other ear

To make fox ears:

  • Rows 2-5: k
  • Row 6: Switch to tip color,  k
  • Row 7: k1 k2tog k6
  • Row 8: k1  k2tog k5
  • Row 9: k1  k2tog k4
  • Row 10: k1  k2tog k3
  • Row 11: k1  k2tog k2
  • Row 12: k1  k2tog k1
  • Row 13: k1  k2tog
  • Row 14:  k2tog
  • Row 15: cut yarn and pull through stitch
Ear 2:
  • On opposite side of fold pick up 5 stitches making sure to run the needle the opposite direction (otherwise this ear will be backwards)
  • repeat ear 1 process
 Make them in any color!
