Hibiscus Flower Hair Ties

These pretty hair ties were born when my MIL asked for hair flowers to wear to football games.

What you need:
Worsted weight yarn in several colors
Size I (5.5mm) hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors

Flower:

Staring with the color of the flower chain 6, slip stitch to form a ring

Chain 1, work 18 sc around ring, slip stitch to finish row
*hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc (in one sc), skip 1, sc, skip one
repeat from * around, finish with slip stitch

With an accent color join in first hdc made, *sc 2, 3 sc in tr, sc 2, long sc to first sc row
repeat from * around, slip stitch to join

Weave in all ends

Hand stitch a long stitch down the middle of the center of the flower, tie off and weave in ends.
(This will help keep the flower on your hair)

Tie:
Chain 13, work 3 hdc in each chain, slip stitch at top
chain 30
work 3 hdc in each chain for 12 chains
slip stitch at top of hdc, break yarn and weave in ends

If you have thicker hair or plan to wear only one you may wish to add more chains to the center.

To wear pull curly q's through the middle like image above. Pull chain to back and slip around pony, pull curly q's to tighten then tie.
Like so.
Sorry about the blurry picture but I'm to lazy to retake it.
