Darling Devil

Halloween is right around the corner and if you are like me and still piecing together a costume you may like this project.



What you need:
Vanna's Glamour or a fine yarn
Size D (3.25mm) hook
Polyester Fiber Fill
Needle
Scissors
Small piece of elastic cording

Headband:
worked flat


  • ch 2, sc across ch, ch1 turn -2 sc
  • sc 2 in each sc, ch 1 turn -4 sc
  • sc 2 in first st, sc 2, sc 2 in last st, chain 1 turn -6 st
  • sc 2 in first st, sc 4, sc 2 in last st, chain 1 turn -8 st
  • sc 2 in first st, sc 6, sc 2 in last st, chain 1 turn -10 st
  • sc 2 in first st, sc 8, sc 2 in last st, chain 1 turn -12 st
  • sc across, ch 1 turn -12 st
  • repeat row above till 1 inch from desired length
  • sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog, ch 1 turn -10 st
  • sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog, ch 1 turn -8 st
  • sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog, ch 1 turn -6 st
  • sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog, ch 1 turn -4 st
  • sc2tog across, ch  1-2 st
  • Do not break yarn, sc around headband, sl st to join. Break yarn and weave in ends.



Horns:
Make 2
work in continuous rounds

  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: Work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: sc in each sc -6 st
  • Round 3: sc in each sc -6 st (working from here all rows are in BLO)
  • Round 4: Work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Rounds 5-6: sc in each sc around -12 st
  • Round 7: *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * - 18 st
  • Rounds 8-9: sc in each sc around -18 st
  • Round 10: *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts, rep from * - 24 st
  • Rounds 11-13: sc in each sc around - 24 st
  • Finish off leaving long tails to use to sew horns to headband



Place horns on headband and sew in place, before your last stitches on each lightly stuff with fiber fill. Weave in ends. Measure and cut elastic cording to desired length and tie to each end of headband.
