Mini Candy Corn Bunny

Next week my husband and I will be welcoming a new furbaby into our household. We are adopting a rescue rabbit. We have been working hard on finishing the hutch. The frame work is done and we painted it yesterday, the screening will go on later this week. I will be sure to post pictures when we finish.  



What you need:
3 colors of worsted weight yarn
Size F (3.75 mm) hook
Black embroidery floss
Polyester fiber fill
Yarn needle
Embroidery needle
Clip to keep place
Scissors

White=A, Orange=B, Yellow=C

Body:
work in continuous rounds

  • Color A, chain 2
  • Round 1: work 6 sc in first chain
  • Round 2: sc in each sc around
  • Round 3:  work 2 sc in each sc around - 12 st
  • Round 4-5: sc in each sc around
  • Round 6: color B, sc in each sc around
  • Round 7:  *2 sc in next st, sc in next st, rep from * around - 18 st
  • Round 8-9: sc in each sc around
  • Round 10:  *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, rep from * around - 24 st
  • Round 11-12: color C, sc in each sc around
  • Round 13:  *2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, rep from * around - 30 st
  • Stuff lightly
  • Sc across bottom to close
  • Weave in ends
Ears:
Color A, work in in continuous rounds
Make 2

  • Chain 2
  • Round 1: work 8 sc in first chain
  • Round 2-7: sc in each sc
  • Whip stitch across bottom
Assembly:

Sew ears to top edges of white of body. Embroider a cute face using embroidery floss. 
Make a small pompom out of color C and sew to back of body.


This bunny is the perfect size to fit in a child's pocket. It would be a great toy for car trips.
Make in all sizes by changing hook and yarn sizes.
